How It Works
Engage with your democracy daily, not just during elections.
Janta Verdict allows you to participate in governance by voting regularly on issues that matter to you. Select a category like Ward or Constituency, and vote on public issues such as Healthcare, Education, or Infrastructure. Your votes help highlight the most important problems and bring attention to them.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Priority Voting
Each week begins with a 7-day priority phase. During this phase, you can vote to decide which issue should be selected for focused daily voting.
2. Issue Selection
The issue with the highest number of priority votes is selected for the daily voting phase. This ensures collective focus on the most pressing concern.
3. Daily Voting
Once the issue is selected, users can cast one vote each day for 3 weeks to track progress and share feedback. Your participation holds decision-makers accountable.
Issue Categorization
Issues on the platform are organised by category (such as Ward or Constituency), and within each category, issues are grouped by type — including Healthcare, Education, Infrastructure, and more. This structure helps users focus on problems relevant to their community and level of governance.
Ward-level: Garbage collection, street lighting, etc.
Constituency-level: Water supply, healthcare, schools.
State-level: Education reforms, healthcare policies.
National-level: Climate change, national economic policy.
Voting Process
Our two-phase voting process ensures that the most important issues are first prioritised by the public and then tracked regularly to ensure accountability.
Phase 1: Priority Voting
During this phase, users vote once to prioritise which issue should be selected for daily monitoring. This phase usually lasts for 7 days and determines the key issue to focus on.
Phase 2: Daily Voting
Once the top issue is selected, users participate in daily voting for three weeks. Each user can cast one vote per day to track whether the issue is being addressed or improved.
Community-Driven Progress Tracking
We do not currently have direct partnerships with government bodies. However, our community and moderators track issue progress through citizen reports, media updates, and official sources where available. In the future, we aim to collaborate with authorities to improve transparency and accountability.
User Verification
To maintain fair and secure voting, we verify users through email/password or Google login. During the voting process, users are also required to provide Aadhaar details (number, age, and sex) to ensure one person, one vote.
